Miami-born, Tali is a recent West Coast transplant by way of NYC. She is happily working from home in Napa as the Executive Editor of Cultured Magazine—or on the cross-country commute to the company’s HQ in Miami Beach. Tali grew up surrounded by creative talent and eventually found her place within that realm as a connector and storyteller. She enjoys collaborating with artists and is slowly overcoming her fear of public speaking.
If there was one piece of art you could feature in, which would it be and why?
A James Turrell installation. I would be really curious to see myself portrayed in light!
Who inspires you and why? An artist, a family member, someone current or historical?
I’m incredibly fortunate to exist in a role where it’s my job to discover and share the stories of creative people. In turn, that energy continues to fuel me in my professional and personal endeavors.
What are your cultural aspirations? What do you still want to see, do and achieve?
I would like to see every new institution that has opened this year! There are so many. The Venice Biennale is on the short/immediate list. I’d like to transition the one-off cultural exchanges (events, talks, panels, collaborations) presented by Cultured Magazine into a permanent space for creative pursuits.
What are your favourite cultural cities in the world and why?
Tel Aviv, because it’s always going - it is young and full of energy. Miami, because it’s finally realizing its potential beyond the month of December; New York, because, it’s New York!
What are you up to at the moment and where can we find it?
At the moment, I’m settling into my new home in Napa, and spending time spreading the Cultured Magazine gospel across the Bay Area! We’re celebrating the fifth anniversary of Cultured in December, so we have lots of major developments in store leading up to the end of the year. Stay tuned @cultured_mag and culturedmag.com.
