Born in NYC, Jill grew up in Greenwich, CT. She has been an executive in the magazine publishing business for over 20 years - selling advertising and integrated marketing programs to luxury brands for Mirabella, Metropolitan Home, Elle Décor and now, Traditional Home magazine. After a career in law, Jill discovered the fascinating concepts of marketing and branding and loves to brainstorm about unique opportunities to offer her clients. She also enjoys the immersion in the categories that she calls on: luxury home design, fashion, art, and other visually enticing areas that feed her love of the arts.
Jill lives on the Upper East Side, and enjoys travel, cooking/entertaining, museums, auction houses and galleries, reading, opera, jazz and exercise in her spare time.
If there was one piece of art you could feature in, which would it be and why?
I would love to have my portrait painted by John Singer Sargent because his painterly, expressive style and ability to capture the sitter’s personality enhances any subject!
Who inspires you and why? An artist, a family member, someone current or historical?
The fashion designer Geoffrey Beene, as well as various leading interior designers.
What are your cultural aspirations? What do you still want to see, do and achieve?
I want to return to the places that inspired me in the past (see below) and I would like to visit India. I also aspire to become meaningfully involved with a NYC arts institution that would value my experience in luxury marketing and content development.
What are your favourite cultural cities in the world and why?
Paris is my favorite cultural city. Everywhere you look there is beauty and it never disappoints. There is always something new to see. I also loved Prague, Florence, Venice, Istanbul, Vienna, Amsterdam and Munich as they each offer fantastic architecture and fine art.
What are you up to at the moment and where can we find it?
I am currently working as the Luxury Goods Director of Traditional Home Magazine.
